Reading this site means working under the terms below. They cover what our reports claim, what our hour counts describe, how the work may be reused, and where our responsibility ends.
Everything published here is a judgement. A rating summarises how one completed playthrough struck the person who logged it, and reasonable readers will disagree with some of our conclusions. No page constitutes a warranty about how a game will run, feel or reward you.
Hour totals, objective counts and task-type classifications describe the specific playthrough recorded in our ledger, on the build available at the time. Another player will take a different number of hours, may classify tasks differently, and may encounter a patched version in which the requirements have changed. Our figures are a record of what we did rather than a specification of what a game contains.
Classification in particular involves judgement, and the definitions we apply are published on the desk page precisely so that a reader can disagree with them from the same evidence.
Where a report advises stopping at a particular hour, that is editorial advice and nothing more. It reflects our view of where a game stops rewarding continued play, and a reader who enjoys exactly the material we found repetitive is not mistaken. Nobody should treat these notes as instructions.
Short quotations in articles, videos, reviews and discussion are welcome so long as The Completion Desk is credited and the quotation is not trimmed in a way that reverses its sense. Reproducing an entire report, translating one without permission, or ingesting this site's text as material for commercial machine learning systems is not permitted.
Ratings and counted figures may not be used in advertising, on storefront pages or in promotional material of any kind. A number separated from the ledger entry behind it conveys nothing a reader can act on and misrepresents the work that produced it.
Every photograph, illustration and the mark on this site were produced for it and remain ours. None are screenshots and none should be presented as depictions of any game. Names of games, studios, publishers and platforms belong to their owners and appear here for identification and critical commentary; no affiliation or endorsement is claimed or implied in either direction.
Nothing on this site is sold. There is no shop, subscription, membership, donation route or advertising inventory, so no order, payment, refund or delivery can arise between us. Any approach purporting to trade under this name has no connection to the desk.
The site is offered as it stands. We give no undertaking that it will remain reachable, that older reports will stay online indefinitely, or that internal links will survive a future reorganisation. Reports may be corrected, annotated, superseded by a recount or withdrawn at editorial discretion.
To the extent the applicable law allows, we accept no liability for loss or damage arising from reliance on anything published here, including purchases made or avoided on the strength of a rating. A completion report is one input to a decision, not a substitute for making it yourself.
A report may occasionally reference material hosted by somebody else. Those sites lie outside our control, we make no claim about their accuracy or persistence, and their own terms govern your visit from the moment you follow the link.
This page will be revised as the desk's practice develops. The wording present when you load the page is the wording that applies, and continuing to read afterwards means proceeding under the current text rather than an earlier one.
Statutory consumer protections are unaffected by anything above. Where the law in your jurisdiction confers rights that cannot be limited by agreement, those rights apply in full and the clauses here operate only within whatever room that law leaves.
